Modified Vehicle Eligibility Application INSTRUCTIONSUse this form to submit your vehicle for entry into RMVR’s Modified class. Production-based vehicles whose year, make, and model are eligible to compete in an RMVR class but whose preparation do not meet a class’ specifications to the point of presenting a significant financial burden to bring them into compliance may apply for a logbook to compete in the Modified class. The purpose of the Modified class is to welcome vintage production-based vehicles that would require significant, expensive modifications to bring them into compliance with an unmodified class to the point that the vehicle and driver would otherwise not compete. Please be complete, accurate, and honest in your responses to assist RMVR Eligibility in evaluating the vehicle’s eligibility. Our goal is to work with you on any compliance issues, rather than being punitive, so you may obtain an RMVR logbook and race with us. Applications with missing information because the applicant did not want to take the time to check the car or review the RMVR General Rules will not be processed. The Eligibility Team appreciates your time and care in completing this application.OWNER INFORMATIONName* First Last Address* Street Address Address Line 2 City AlabamaAlaskaAmerican Provisional LogbooksA provisional logbook may be issued at the discretion of the Chief of Eligibility. The purpose of a provisional logbook is to permit race cars that are slightly in violation of applicable rules to race during a grace period in which the issue(s) may be remedied. The grace period is the sooner of six races or one year from issuance of the provisional logbook. If the violations are believed to produce a performance differential, the car may be placed in a more appropriate faster or slower class until remedied. When all items are corrected, it is incumbent upon the owner to request a regular logbook. If all items in violation are not corrected or a regular logbook is not requested, the provisional logbook expires and the car is ineligible to enter RMVR races. Annual Tech InspectionA logbook is required for an annual Tech Inspection, but the successful issuance of a logbook does not mean the vehicle has passed an annual Tech Inspection. It is the owner’s responsibility to schedule Tech Inspection separately after receiving the paper logbook, which must be performed prior to the vehicle entering an RMVR race.
