Trans-Am Eligibility

Group 3 will feature the sedans that were eligible to run in the SCCA Trans-American Endurance Racing series during the years 1966 through 1972. Group 1 will feature the big production Sports cars and special Exhibition Cars that are not subject to the following Group 3 Trans-Am limitations:

Period of Eligibility Manufactured 1972 and earlier (Porsche 911 manufactured 1969 and earlier)
Race History Not Required
Displacement: 5 liter maximum all cars
2.5 liter maximum: U-2 cars 1971 and 1972
2 liter maximum: U-2 cars 1970 and earlier
Heads O2: Factory iron
U2: Period
Tires No slicks/vintage aspect ratio
Wheels O2: 8×15-inches maximum
U2: 7×15-inches maximum
Classification Eligible cars will be classified at the track based on year, model, and adherence to period of manufacture.
Appearance Eligible cars will be painted and neat having modest advertising. Any fender flares shall be modest and correct for the era.
