25th Anniversary Celebration

Sunday, July 27, 2008
1:00 PM
4:00 PM

This year Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing is celebrating 25 years of vintage racing fun and excitement, and we want you to celebrate with us! Join us at the Club Auto Lemay Car Museum in Lakewood from 1:00 pm until 4 pm. This is a great new facility and a perfect setting for celebrating our 25th anniversary in style.

  1. Enjoy a delicious lunch (snacks, lasagne, beer, wine and soft drinks provided)
  2. Check out the nifty cars, reminisce with other vintage racing enthusiasts
  3. Learn more about the new track at High Plains Raceway!
  4. Get yourself some 25th Anniversary clothing and regalia.
  5. Watch footage of RMVR events on the big screen TV and
  6. Test your speed in the pit crew games
  7. Finally, join us for cake and ice cream as we toast RMVR’s first 25 years with good wishes for the next twenty-five.

This event is free to all members and their families, as well as former members and their families. We’d love to see all present and former RMVR members.

The Grand Pooh-bah of the event, Tom Deats, has asked that if you are going to attend, PLEASE RSVP to help him better plan the event Send your RSVP to rmvr25@rmvr.com and let Tom know how many are in your group, including kids. Please respond by July 20th, as we need a definite count for the caterer by the 21st.

PLUS: If you have a special interest or collectible car or motorcycle that you drive but don’t race, bring it! We’re going to have an informal “car show” giving you a chance to show off your pride and joy. This will be held indoors in a large garage area just off the party room.

It would also be FANTASTIC to see some of the old race cars that raced in Steamboat and/or the Gran Prix in Denver. These would sure bring back lots of memories for many of us, and we will waive tech inspection on the first 50 cars - so if you have one, won’t you please bring it!

When you RSVP please let us know if you think you will be bringing a vehicle for the show so that we can be sure we reserve enough space in the garage. We don’t need any details, just that you’ll be bringing something for the display.
