SPECIAL COVID-19 NOTE TO REGISTRANTS:
Due to the current COVID-19 environment, our 2021 events will be conducted with the same COVID protocols used at our 2020 Events. This, by the way, worked very well and did NOT diminish the quality of the racing experience. Sadly, socializing aspects were compromised. But we’re all getting used to that, are we not? Please honor distancing measures and enhanced cleaning protocols. And a strong request that masks be worn when roaming the pits to socialize at a distance. We are expected to adhere to all city, county, state and health department guidelines with respect to social distancing and maximum group sizes. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult circumstances.respect to social distancing and maximum group sizes.
On Thursday, the gates open at noon for early move-in. On Friday, the gates open at 7:00 AM for an optional open-lapping, test and tune day. You can register for open-lapping (1/2 day or full day) in advance online via Motorsportreg.com, or in person at the track.
Saturday will be a full day of racing from 8:30 to 5:00. There will be a morning practice session, followed by a qualifying session, and then two races per run group. On Sunday, there will be two sprint/enduro races – one for open wheeled cars and the second for production cars. As usual free worker rides are available during lunch on Saturday.
The hybrid sprint/enduro format on Sunday offers flexibility for races who may consider three back-to-back 25-minute sessions too much. They may elect to complete any number of the three 25-minute sprints. The starting order for the 2nd and 3rd sessions will be determined by the finish order in the previous session. The overall finishing order of the enduro will be determined by the finish order of the 3rd session.
